Internet service provider O2 is facing repeated problems with its network. Owing to certain troubles in its system, its network has crashed thrice in the last few weeks.

A few weeks back, a faulty GPRS satellite caused a data crash and disabled O2’s internet connections. However, the company had reacted very fast and removed the glitch. A company spokesperson had then said that most of the subscribers were able to use internet again within a few hours, and that technicians were working hard to restore connections for the remaining subscribers.

However, soon another problem in their system left the subscribers on roaming unable to download any data or voicemail. The company apologised for the inconvenience and promised to restart their internet service as soon as it was possible to do so. However, this time the cause of the problem was not explained.

The troubles did not end there though. Many of O2’s subscribers are again facing problems with their network availability. The Register has said that this time the problem is with the network of some subscribers and not all. The cause has not been explained by O2 though it claims that the issue has been resolved by its technicians and that the subscribers will not face any such problem in future. Reports say that the problem with the network was that it was refusing to allow 2G and 3G connections in many places including Brighton and Liverpool. This would mean that not some, but a large proportion of subscribers were facing this network situation.
